What is Disney plus
Disney Plus is a new premium streaming service that will soon be launching in the United States. The service, which was announced in November 2018, will cost $7 per month or $70 per year. It’s not coming to Canada at this time.
Disney Plus will bring ad-free live and on-demand streaming of Disney and Pixar films, as well as television series from the Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. It will also offer exclusive original content including a number of new series that connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) such as Loki and The Falcon & The Winter Soldier.
Disney Plus will also have a strong focus on sports with regional, national, and international games from MLB, NHL, MLS, collegiate sports, boxing, golf, tennis, and the PGA Tour streaming exclusively on Disney Plus. This service falls in line with Disney’s plans for Hulu as well which is intended to serve as a cable-like destination for sports programming.
The service will also have its own original movies and will be the exclusive streaming home to Disney’s library of films as well as those from Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and National Geographic. Currently, over 7500 titles are expected to make their way onto Disney Plus. The service is expected to launch in the US on November 12, 2019.
What is Disney plus Canada
At this time we do not know if and when Disney Plus will be available outside of the United States. We’ll update this page as more information becomes available.
Disney Canada has said that it wants to take a “vanity approach” with its streaming service Disney+ in order to ensure high quality. By doing so they believe it will be able to retain subscribers longer than competing services.
Disney+ is expected to launch in Canada in Spring 2020. No pricing for the Canadian service has been announced at this time. We do know that the $8.99 we pay for Netflix will not go up by the same amount when Disney+ launches in Canada.
It is expected that subscribers to Disney+ in Canada will have access to all of the shows and movies that are available on the American service at this time, but it’s unclear if that will remain true for later seasons or movies released after Disney Plus has launched in Canada.

Buy Disney plus account
You can buy an account by signing up for the service on the Disney Plus website. It is also possible to use some third-party services, but doing so means you will not be able to take advantage of the free trial.
